IARC Information

In the fall of 2011, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), which is part of the World Health Organization, announced the findings of its assessment of the carcinogenicity of occupational exposures to oxidized bitumens (asphalt) and their emissions during roofing. The documents referenced below were published by Owens Corning Roofing and Asphalt, LLC, in January of 2012 in an attempt to clarify the IARC findings and also answer some common or frequently asked questions related to this topic.
